Battleships & asbestos Exposure

Battleships, also known as the "capital ship," has been a lot of armored warships biggest strength firepower. The Navy uses the term 'capital ships' to refer to the sturdiest and most important ships in the war. Meanwhile, capital ships, including carrier aircraft and other ships, they most often battleships and was selected to lead the fleet into battle. Battleships is a symbol of dominance during the 20th century, and ships for decades, which is the main factor in military strategy.

Asbestos is commonly used on battleships and very valuable to fire and heat resistant. All ships built by the Navy before the mid-70s was filled with asbestos-containing materials. The material has been used widely in the engine and boiler rooms and other areas including mess rooms, bed rooms and navigation. Products such as cables, gaskets, valves, Adhesives and other asbestos also.

Any personnel working in Naval construction, repair, demolition or renovation of this ship is exposed to possible asbestos. As a result, many veterans are diagnosed with the disease because of asbestos exposure they face for the military.
